Welcome aboard dstamad.

Do you have a preference for the non-AD prop?

We have a prop guy around here... it may help if I invite him over to help with the conversation... @Cody Stallings

Have you seen the prices of new props? Just wondering what you may have seen already...

Do you have anything left of the old prop you can re-use? Like the hub or some blades...

What happened to the prop you had?

Sorry for the list of questions... I got here first, so I asked the usual list... mostly to help the next people to come along...

Hopefully Somebody has a line on what you need...

Best regards,

That’s going to be a very hard Propeller to find on the serviceable market, it’s one of the newer Offerings Hartzell produces.

New would be the only way I could get that Propeller.

Are they any other Propellers that peak your intreasts?

Thanks for the replies.

Am anxious to get flying - the old prop did not make it through inspection - have OK spinner and backing plate - looking at all options but has to be certified (able) in Canada.

Many thanks....

Canada has some different rules about TBO and mandatory OH on things...

Is that what is causing your challenge?

Or more specifically, what caused the prop to fail inspection?

I am wondering if this is more of a paperwork challenge in Canada, but the prop may be useable in the US...

And for Cody, use the @ sign.... @Cody Stallings (Dstamand calling above ^^^^)

PP thoughts only, not trying to circumvent the usual rules in the US...

Best regards,

The only difference I see between Canadian and American rules on propellers would be the mandatory overhaul after 10 years, calculated in shelf time and no matter what total hours. Mine was done this year, it was overhauled in the US in 2009, installed in 2010 and had about 430 hours SPOH. So if @dstamand  imports an American prop into Canada, he will have to make sure the 10 years shelf time isn't expired or close to it, if he want to make a sound investment. I suggest to maybe contact http://www.aviationbl.com/ , they are propeller specialists up here in the Montréal area and have a solid reputation.
