The 'ol Archer had significant (hidden) hail damage so all-in around $15k.

I believe that’s customary, I have it on my plane, despite the fact that they did poor job.

If I’m paying I’m not so sure I’d want it on my plane. If it wasn’t discussed beforehand you bet I’d have them paint over it.

Looks like it’s a decal and you can just peel it off.
