What year did the glareshield get taller?  I sat in a Ovation a while back and I remember an older 201 with a shorter glareshield.

I believe it was with the introduction of the TLS model, which later evolved into the Bravo model.  Bravo being the engine modification in order to provide more oil to the top end.

That shounds right. It was not popular, and was lowered again in '03/'04 with the Ovation DX.

The first of the "tall" panels was on the '88 Porsche.  First long-body, but with short windows.  The '89 TLS followed.
