wcb Posted September 13, 2018 Report Posted September 13, 2018 Anyone else have Kool Scoop issues. It seems the "neck" is to short for proper a proper fit.
Bartman Posted September 13, 2018 Report Posted September 13, 2018 I ordered one and was not pleased with the fit either. It would work, but I'm not in Florida or Texas and since I was not 100% happy I just didn't proceed with a "permanent" mount of something I didn't like. Just didn't like how it fit on the bottom because the lip landed on the window hinge. I probably could have trimmed with the Dremel and been happier. Im sure if I lived in Texas I would have Looooooved it
CWM20f Posted September 13, 2018 Report Posted September 13, 2018 I cut the hinges off - trimmed the bottom to fit above the hinges of original window and use the swinging arm on top to hold in place. When not needed its not in the way.
wcb Posted September 13, 2018 Author Report Posted September 13, 2018 Do you have pictures? What is the best way to cut the plastic? Basically yours is in your seat pocket (or other storage) and slide it in on the ground?
CWM20f Posted September 13, 2018 Report Posted September 13, 2018 That is correct. Will get some pics and post them around noon. I used a Dremel with the thin cutoff blade. 1

Bob_Belville Posted September 13, 2018 Report Posted September 13, 2018 I had to trim some off the flanges. Cutting the plexi is no big deal with an abrasive blade.
CWM20f Posted September 13, 2018 Report Posted September 13, 2018 The kool scoop is thicker than pilot widow so I just swing arm enough to catch the edge. 1
