CraigV Posted July 23, 2018 Report Posted July 23, 2018 Where did the Mooney Caravan finally end up? I’m asking because of the Get-Together tomorrow night at 6:30. Quote

Danb Posted July 23, 2018 Report Posted July 23, 2018 I got to GRB at noon, appears the Caravan made it around 6:00 or so, at least some did, the beeches kinda wandered in aimlessly, stay safe and smart. The weather went from nasty to nice, 1 Quote

The weather went from nasty to nice, Same number - 61 - came in as departed Madison, but we came in on Sunday (not Saturday as scheduled) due to weather delay. First element landed within 20 seconds of the 1730 slot given to Mooney Lead by OSH Tower. Nice job! 4 Quote

Boo. Did the Mooney caravan make it? -dan The Mooney Caravan leadership made a great call to hold the Caravan due to low ceilings and visibility on Saturday. They have established a set of go/no go weather minimums and were never presented with a weather window that met this criteria. Sunday early afternoon the weather improved greatly and all 62 Mooneys were lead safely to the North 40. Hats off to the Mooney Caravan Flight Ops and safety team. 7 2 Quote
