ArtCraft Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Hello Everyone: ArtCraft Paint, Inc Is happy to announce that we are going to Oshkosh 2011!!! Look for us at Booth # 3062. We are looking forward to see you all!! Quote
mooneygirl Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 We will be going this year. And I believe a Mooney BBQ is being planned. Who else is coming to AV? Quote
MARZ Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Planning on it - only question is ..... Tent or Motel. Last year was a bit squishy in the tent.. Quote
jezzie Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 I will in Oshkosh same place and a week earlier, they found some more work for us to do in the Comm Center. Not yet confirmed if I will be flying, may have some import issues to deal with Eldon Quote
Gone Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Us too!! We hope to join the Caravan this year. We really liked the VAC area close to those restaurants on the field. Don't know if we will go to the North 40, but we are definitely going. Has anyone figured out a replacement for Trey and Lela's Orange Juice? Quote
jelswick Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 I'll be there weather willing and my 11 year old son would shoot me if we didn't make it. This will be his 2nd year and he tells me every week how many days are left to AirVenture. I'd really love to be there opening day to see REO Speedwagon open the event, but we usually end up there Thurs-Sun. We're both also craving a Friar Tuck's meal! Can't wait! Quote
HopePilot Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 What days are people planning on being there (i.e. at the beginning or at the end)? Quote
MooneyMitch Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Jolie and I will be there Tuesday through Saturday I believe. Getting happy already about going!! Quote
scottfromiowa Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Hopefully this year everyone will be singing "Riding The Storm Out" instead of living it...But in Wisconsin in July/August you just have to "Roll with the Changes" and "Keep Pushing On"... Quote
HopePilot Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 We're thinking of going, but it's going to be a busy summer. Quote
MooneyMitch Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Oshkosh is Disneyland for aviation enthusiasts! Quote
AlexR Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 I will be there in 75V. Planning to arrive on Sunday and depart Friday. Will camp at the north 40 and pray for no thunder boomers! Quote
HopePilot Posted May 24, 2011 Report Posted May 24, 2011 All the hotels are booked. Any PIREPs on places to stay further out? Quote
Bennett Posted May 24, 2011 Report Posted May 24, 2011 I suggest that you contact the EAA housing office. I've stayed in private homes many times when attending Oshkosh, and in fact, I've rented a whole house two years ago when a group of us, I think it was five pilots, went there for a week. Always possible to stay in the college dorms, and ride the all day shuttle busses to the show. For what it is worth, a couple of us once split the cost for renting a good sized motor home which we picked up around 200 miles away, and drove to Oshkosh. Great to have hot water showers. Quote
mooneygirl Posted May 24, 2011 Report Posted May 24, 2011 Hey Hope, sent you an email about a couple of choices for lodging. Quote

mooneygirl Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 Please remember to stop by Building C for Mooney Happy Hour sponsored by ArtCraft Paint with some help from the Mooney Ambassadors. 12-2 daily or until they kick us out. HA Quote
peter Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 Everyone is also welcome to drop by or hang out at the Aspen North 40 Welcome Tent, which is right by the North 40 bus stop. The tent is outfitted with one of those big swamp cooler air conditioners along with a handfull of tables and chairs where you can hang out with other aircraft owners. We also plan to have a couple of Aspen equipped Mooney's parked by the tent just in case you are wondering what a new Aspen panel would look like in your Mooney. ;-) Hope to see y'all there. Quote

mooneygirl Posted June 13, 2011 Report Posted June 13, 2011 Hello there ArtCraft is in Building C space 3062. Apparently the hospitality room is just a few booths down. The Mooney Ambassadors are helping in this endeavour. We are aiming for 12-2 daily. The room is for customers or potential customers. So we will have a chance to talk Mooney, perhaps get a quote on an interior or paint job from ArtCraft, see our Mooney Family, and have a cold drink. We are going to try to save a row for Lt. Dan Band on Friday night. Mitch and I will be presenting a workshop on Promoting General Aviation, but have not been given the location or date yet. Quote
