philiplane Posted December 15, 2017 Report Posted December 15, 2017 any pressure pot, like those used for painting, will provide the pressure to purge the TKS system. However, if you don't use adequate filtration, you will ruin the TKS panels by clogging the pores with contaminants.

We would use fresh fluid and not recapture purged fluid, I think we can get away with just one filter. Not sure.
glenn reynolds Posted February 21, 2018 Report Posted February 21, 2018 Perhaps you guys could help a TKS owner understand more about my system. When would you use this device? I test run my TKS system on the ground each month to verify that each panel is flowing correctly. Is this cart a repair item? thanks
Cruiser Posted February 21, 2018 Report Posted February 21, 2018 Sounds like you are doing fine. The cart is used to purge the system when some panels are clogged and not working.
Piloto Posted February 22, 2018 Report Posted February 22, 2018 I just coat the leading edge with Rain-X for plastic ($5.00). So far no ice here in Florida neither in Pittsburgh during Xmas time. José
