    Alternators

Anybody remove and replace the alternator in a 1979 231 lately? Is there enough clearance to remove it without pivoting the entire engine on a mount? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

A couple of questions from a newbie

I love my Mooney but for that mission I would take a Cessna 414 or 421. It will haul your boards and your friends and land on dirt strips. Now if you could rent your boards when you get there that would be better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Definitely post the answer. I have that arrangement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Oxygen fill port

Thanks for the input y’all. It seems to be quite simple and easy the see and read the gauge on the back wall. I think it is what, 6’ away. S. T. Nelson N231JG Just Go

    Oxygen fill port

Plane was factory flown and accepted in dec of 78. Second entry was installing o2 system with 337 in California 5 days after factory test flight S. T. Nelson N231JG Just Go

    Oxygen fill port

Mine has everything you have mentioned, except the shutoff in the front. Many of the cessnas have the O2 gauge on the back wall, all you do is look over your shoulder. The leak is at the filler port, I found it. I’ll look at Scott for a oring kit. S. T. Nelson N231JG Just Go
  12. LOL. That looks like the line girls in Salt Lake City in the 1990’s, except the boots. S. T. Nelson N231JG Just Go

    Oxygen fill port

I have a 1979 M20k 231. Serial #8. It has O2. The system is apparently simpler than newer models. There is not a control in the cockpit to turn the system on. The gauge is in the hat rack. The filler fitting is inside the tail. The filler fitting looks exactly like the ones in twin cessnas. It has an internal check valve in it and is mounted. Anybody know the manufacturer and model of this fitting? I either need a overhaul kit or another fitting.

    M20k rear bench seat

Try telling that to the faa during registration. Dec 78 is not 79’. Lol. I’m totally with you on it should be a 79. Now, how to get the back seat or seat back out? S. T. Nelson N231JG Just Go

    M20k rear bench seat

What about a 1978 231? Any tips on taking the back seat out or just the rear seat back?
