The left cowl flap on my 77 J broke.  The bracket that attaches to the cowling is held on by what looks like three rivets.  They have pulled through the cowling.

What is the best way to repair this.  I don't have any rivets with heads near that size.  It looks like an aluminum double on each side of the hinge would hold it but the holes are large enough it would slide around.

Anyone know how this should be repair, short of buying a new cowl?

I believe there’s a SB or something for an improved bracket. I did a doubler on one and a new bracket on the other.  Lasar was the source.
