Low Cost 2 Axis Autopilot

This is a re-post from an email I received. I would sign up but am in Florida and he needs Mooney people from the west coast.

This is going to be great for us Mooney owners that want a low  cost ($7,000 plus installation) autopilot.

 

Mooney owners, 

The STC Group LLC has received FAA STC approval for the "Trio Pro Pilot" autopilot for Cessna 172, Cessna 175, and Cessna 182 aircraft. 

We are beginning a serious effort to add additional types to the STC. 

The STC Group, LLC is looking for a few Mooney owners who would like to collaborate with us out here in sunny Ventura County at Oxnard and Camarillo airports.

There are competing products.  Tru Track and Trio.   I like companies competing for sales.

And Brittian.   For the $7000 price tag those with a wing leveler it might be better to just upgrade.

And Garmin is entering with a "lower cost" auto-pilot solution.  Nice to have choices.

This is why my other plane is a RV. $2200 autopilot, $6k for a two 10" screens. Even the adsb was only 1k!

That's great. It looks like the complete SkyView HDX package is on the list for an STC and will be going for $16,000, which includes a 2-axis AP, ADS-B out and engine monitor.
