Drumstick Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 I broke my leg and my KT76A on the same day. I need to get a transponder installed in order to get my M20C flying. I'm also trying to find a couple of local mooney flyers to put an hour or two every couple of weeks until my knee heals. Quote
FoxMike Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 I have a KT 76C that was removed for a Garmin 345. It is out of a 1999 TLS that was always hangared. Low time would be a super replacement. Let me know if you have interest. Walt Bell Quote
gsxrpilot Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 @Drumstick I've got a KT76a that I just pulled out for a panel upgrade. Make me an offer and I can send it right out to you. Quote
jerryg324 Posted April 12, 2017 Report Posted April 12, 2017 I have a KT76A also sitting on the shelf... 706-767-3880 cheap,cheap,cheap Quote
HRM Posted April 12, 2017 Report Posted April 12, 2017 So pleased to see these. The Xpndr that won't die. My ADS-B out is pending the death of my KT76A or 2020, whichever comes first Quote
Drumstick Posted April 12, 2017 Author Report Posted April 12, 2017 Thanks everyone! Currently pricing out a KT76C. Primarily because it comes with a warranty. I'm not in a super big hurry anyway because I won't be able to fly until probably June. Quote

It needs a WAAS source and my plan is to install an IFD440 which is not on the ADS-B STC for the KT74. Its a pretty expensive gamble. Quote
Godfather Posted April 13, 2017 Report Posted April 13, 2017 327's are going for $350-$450. I would never spend the money on a new one as you should be able to find nice used examples for literally pennies on the dollar. Quote

I have a 327 lined up for $250 but the 1700 installation quote is unreasonable. Need to get the install cost down for me to even think about a 327. Quote

wombat Posted May 29, 2017 Report Posted May 29, 2017 I had to replace a KT-76 the other day. Much less common than the 76A. But I bought a used, 'working when removed' one for $150, and it worked great when I got it. Quote
Raptor05121 Posted May 29, 2017 Report Posted May 29, 2017 I send my -76A out for repair, great guy in the panhandle of FL that can fix almost any transponder, I paid $100 and he realigned the power and output for me Quote
