Any idea if it had a bad capacitor? Or anything like that?

Somebody had posted a picture of a capacitor that has migrated out of place.  I can't remember if it was an AP issue or not...

searching for the word capacitor, they seem to be a common electronics challenge in Moonies...

That was my KAP-150. The tech said 33 years is a long time for those old capacitors to live.

BK has the operator's manual on line for the KFC...
Observing which beep is missing can get you closer.

This is very interesting, but I can’t find any reference to decode this in any of the manuals? How did you hear about this, and can you point me to the resource?

Thanks!

Capacitors comes in a wide range of values and type. The smaller ones (ceramic) will last forever. The bigger ones (electrolytic) are subject to heat and aging, and to overvoltage failure.

DVA,

I thought the decoding of the six beeps was in the pilot's manual...

Of course, when I went to the manual, I didn't see it either...

I am going to attempt another resource later, but it is an old iPad that is battery challenged...

could be one of those fuzzy aged memory issues...:)
