Simple:D

1.  If they are in Texas they use front and rear plates temporarily remove the rear plate and place on the front of other vehicle.

2. If not in Texas and only the rear plates are required get specialty made plate for front of both vehicles.

3. Photoshop

Of course poster is from TX so option 1 or 2 probably works.

@notarpilot:  I thought your NAM22A was a backwards Seinfeld reference....

Which naturally leads to Art Vandelay.  Vandelay industries.  Import / Export /  Latex Sales.

Same plates are on front and back of both vehicles. I did say I would have fun :)

If I have 5 cars in my name I can put same plates on them all. I have to have Amateur Radio equipment in them, great way to listen to Unicom and approach.

Vanity plates in Texas are $250/year or close to it...

I got a Vanity hamradio callsign, W1FLY.

ham radio plates are $2/year to the state.

so much cheaper vanity option.

Yes, that's exactly the reference I had in mind. But I still don't know what "IMPTXPT" is supposed to mean.

Import export ... running gag.  Vandelay is an importer.  They always follow up with - and no exports? Then the reply is import export.

You lot are lucky. We can't do that in Nazi Britain (see recent vote in parliament where EU citizens living here will lose their rights post Brexit, smatterings of 1934 all over again). Over here the best we can do is play with the location and number codes, so for me I can get

0007 ACH

While I certainly get the meaning and frustration of your reply, using the word Nazi Britain isn't fair to those of your and our countrymen who fought those fkrs. Doing so only lends credibility to them.

I didn't mean to be a goody-two-shoes or politically correct, just honoring those that helped save the planet.

The state of Texas must really need the money.  Here once you buy the plate, the yearly fee is the same as any other plate.

Everywhere I've ever bought tags (GA, NC, OH, AL), vanity and specialty tags carry yearly charges. So do the many "specialty" tags available, which often pass some of the fee to whatever group / organization / cause the tag is advertising.

I have tags from my college, Auburn University, for $50 / year. Many mothers are available at the same cost.

          http://revenue.alabama.gov/motorvehicle/specialty.cfm

Vanity tags are the same, but may be combined with some of the specialty tags for no additional fee.

War Eagle! We won big tonight . . .  :D

I thought license plates were specific to an individual vehicle. Am I just wrong?

Don,

not when it comes to ham radio plates, they really belong to the station licensee so if you have an equipped mobile radio station (vehicle) you can can have them issued for each vehicle in your name. The fun part is it really hoses the toll tag system, as apparently they can't have two tags to one license plate :)

Not a license plate question, but who the hell is that guy in the sticker on your back window?? I see those around and I really have no idea and I've been wondering for a while now. I asked a kid who had one on her car and she didn't know who it was either, she just thought he looked cool. Kind of like the Che Guevara fad awhile back.

Better question is why is his truck parked in front of a Piper Arrow.  If that is supposed to be his M20F, it's the ugliest Mooney I've ever seen.

Ummm... pretty sure it's not. In person the sticker really looks nothing like Bill Murray. At least not like Bill Murray the comedian/actor.

The Chivery's website crashes Safari on my iPad about every 20 seconds. Start it back, Chivery's bullsh!t loads, then it crashes again . . . Think I'll get by without their stuff.

But on their site, between crashes, it does look like a bearded Bill Murray. What I don't uderstand is, why? What's the attraction?   Why the beard?? At least W had a reason for his stickers . . .

The founders of the Chive website were big fans of Bill Murray's work and created a Bill Murray shirt.  Since then Bill has teamed up with Chive Charities.  Since then the Chive has a kind of cult following and the stickers and shirts are everywhere.

Trust me the site is not for everyone however they have done some great charity work.

I don't get it at all. I went to the Chive site and it's nothing but goofy stuff for sale. How is this site "cult"? There seems to be no real content, just kitschy stuff for sale. I guess it's supposed to be Bill Murray, but it's a terrible likeness. I seriously thought it was David Niven for the longest time. Also, why the "fucking" ??

Oh well, that's America.
