I accidentally clicked on the wrong item number when I bought 4 fine wires from spruce - they are Tempest URHM38S - the ones with 3/4 inch caps.  My bird takes the 5/8 version.  Didn't realize they were the wrong ones until I opened and threaded them.

Before I beg spruce to swap them out - anybody have interest in 4 brand new tempest fine wires?    I'd sell them for what I paid minus a modest I was a dope discount, or free shipping.

Take care

Putting these in the bottom of an engine really helps extend the interval for cleaning and almost eliminates the need to burn plugs off during a runup.

I find leaning hard on the ground (enough that I have to enrichen to taxi uphill or pull out of the grass into pavement) keeps me from having to burn off plugs. This is immediately after engine start, and again in the landing rollout. Got so used to doing this in my Mooney that when I did it in a 172, the engine died and I coasted off the runway . . .

It's very rare for me to ever burn off a plug.

Bump:

Still available for sale.  4x URHM38S 3/4" cap tempest fine wires.

Opened new in box.  Never dropped.

I paid $78 per plug plus shipping ($317+shipping).  I'd like to sell them for $290 and I'll include free ground shipping.

You'll love them.

I never thought I'd appreciate such a simple upgrade to fine wire plugs. Easier starts and they don't load up on the ground (although I still lean aggressively during ground operations out of habit).
