For those of you who have been asking me if we were having any picnic at Quakertown this year, we are going to have one on Saterday sept. 10th starting at noon. This is our annual Quakertown pilots association family picnic and once again the pilots of Quakertown have invited the the Mooney pilots. Rules are the same as last year, every one is invited to come out and bring your family, we ask that you bring a food item but that is not a requirement to come. If you are going to join us please respond to this thread so we can ensure we have enough food and drink to cover everyone. If you are bringing food, sides, desserts, snacks and drinks will be what we need, you can include that in your response if you know you are bringing something.

can't wait to see everyone,

Brian

Brian-

I'll try to make it but won't know more until later.  I may not be available on Sept 10th.

I attended last in 2014.

Take care,

I live in the area and I may try and come (I dont have a Mooney (yet...)) is it still ok if I come? I will need to wait till the date gets closer to give a firm answer, still to far out to know if I will be free.

Dave

And depending on where you live, perhaps one of us can give you a ride.

Down in the bowels of Philly. :) DKB I think flies out of Northeast Philly (not sure he is going to the September get together) and I fly out of N57 which is west of Philly. If you do plan on going to the September event, let us know. I can fly over to KLOM and get you.

DKB (DXB I think unless thats a different guy altogether) does fly out of KPNE, I have meet up with him to check out his plane. There is another guy on here who also flys out of KPNE and is a member on here as well. I should be free for the September fly but thats still a ways out and life (as we all know) has a way of getting in the middle of things.

Dave- I'm happy to give you a ride from KPNE if I end up going - not sure what my schedule will be in early September yet.

Sounds good, thank you for the offer. Like wise on my schedule, we can touch base when the date gets closer.

Just looked at the weather for the weekend and it looks like it will be a nice day. partly cloudy with the temps around 90.winds are light! looking forward to seeing every one who can make it. BTW, 201ER needs a ride if anyone is coming from that direction.

I'd swing by Linden to pick him up but I don't think I would bank enough in the pattern to satisfy him. :)

I attended in 2014 and would love to return.  I have an event at 10:00 locally.  However that will only last an hour.  How late will the picnic run?  I may get up there for the second half.

Seth -- I'm sure it will go into the afternoon like it has before. If I recall correctly, 2014 was the year of the thunderstorm. Alan dropped me off at New Garden, 10 minutes before a storm rolled through. I think you had to do an end around to get back into the DC area. Hopefully the weather will hold up!

That is correct.  I dodged cells and build ups on the way home as well!
