If you want to come down to AVQ, the guys there know Mooneys pretty well. The "second in command" there flies a Mooney Rocket regularly too. Personally, I would NOT use the guys at CHD.

Thanks...

I'll see about the option of moving it after calling them. Was hoping to find someone close or able to travel a little. They can use the hangar its in and would be real basic pre buy because it has not flown much at all since last annual a couple months ago...

Hopping Glendale aero can do it soon, but they are slammed

That may or may not be true based in who did the annual.

Talk to JOHN or James  at Glendale aero service at GEU.

They probably know the airplane pretty well already.

Looks like you might have tried them. There are a few older M20s that they have done a lot of work on. If your plan is to keep it there hopefully they can fit you in.

Glendale aero has been doing the annuals. They are just really busy.

Annual was done a couple months ago, flown approx 4 hours, then owner got hurt and cannot fly so put the plane up for sale .

It's not staying in AZ...coming home to Seattle !

I feel good about Glendale Aero, they are just very busy and not sure when they can get to it...so was hoping to find a familiar A/P in the area

Thanks!

Are you looking at a later model Ovation there?  If it's the one I'm thinking about, I ferried that plane (from SDL to GEU for the broker)!  I was reminded how powerful the Ovation is relative to the Bravo on takeoff/climb/cruise at low altitudes. (IIRC, this Ovation has the wide chord three bladed prop...) Plane flew just fine.

Good luck!
