  1. Thank you! I'll look for them tomorrow.
  2. Haha! Well now its fixed! can you do my annuals too? It moves around OK and I can center it in flight, but always off when on the level ground... Piloto, is the mount the round things holding the panel to the tubing (that the screws go through)? or is there something else I am missing? I can't find any real info on how they should look..It seems like it would be hard to move it up enough to straighten that much "right low", but it has to be something! Thanks again guys..
  3. Funny you mention the iPhone. I actually did that on the bottom of the panel and it was off little but not as much as the ball. I will try checking the level at the mounting screws tomorrow. I'm not sure of the model. I'll look through my paperwork. I could not see any brand names on the unit. Thanks again!
  4. That pic is on the ground...sorry should have specified... it will center in flight with rudder control. but then flies a little crooked.. Thanks !
  5. Hello, My Mooney Ovation turn coordinator is off (to the right) a significant amount (half ball). All other leveling checks tell me the plane is sitting level, so I am thinking an adjustment to the coordinator or the panel is tilted... Anyone have this issue? I can't really see how the panel could be off that much and can't see anywhere to adjust on the coordinator... Picture attached Thanks in advance for any advice!
  6. I hear you on "blanket" vs "real" icing. This time of year over here you can count on some icing in the forecast almost all days! Nice to have that TKS in the "back pocket"! safe flying!
  7. Hello, I have TKS FIKI on my Ovation I purchased last August. I did not install it, but bought it already installed. I used it for the first time last weekend flying over the cascade mountains from Seattle to Idaho and was very impressed by it's performance. I was in Moderate to Heavy icing and would have been in a real situation without it. It cleared my wing nicely and pretty quick. This area of the country is about as bad as it gets... The only issue I found, was making sure you have fluid at your destination, or carry a little to refill with you. Which obviously can eat useful load. I used a bit too much fluid because I intentionally stayed in the icing longer than I would next time so that I could learn the system and test it's performance. I am glad I went with the TKS system. Good luck!
  8. I bought a Mooney Ovation with A/C recently and went through the exact same thoughts. I Live in the NW and just don't need it a whole lot. I made some calls and looked at all the components ...It looks like a pretty hefty job for the things behind the batteries. I know there is some demand for some of the parts, but not sure the actual value. It has been nice to have during taxi, run up and lower altitudes on warm days though... I decided to just leave it alone for now. Let me know if you make some moves on removing and I'll do the same if I do.. Good luck!
  9. Also, John and Glendale said its in great shape..
  10. Glendale aero has been doing the annuals. They are just really busy. Annual was done a couple months ago, flown approx 4 hours, then owner got hurt and cannot fly so put the plane up for sale . It's not staying in AZ...coming home to Seattle ! I feel good about Glendale Aero, they are just very busy and not sure when they can get to it...so was hoping to find a familiar A/P in the area Thanks! Joe
  11. Thanks... I'll see about the option of moving it after calling them. Was hoping to find someone close or able to travel a little. They can use the hangar its in and would be real basic pre buy because it has not flown much at all since last annual a couple months ago... Hopping Glendale aero can do it soon, but they are slammed
  12. Does anyone have any good recommendations for a Mooney pre-buy in Glendale, AZ? Preferably ASAP ... PM or comments appreciated.. Thank you!
  13. Thanks for all the great responses..I appreciate them!
  14. As an example.. Two ovations, both have same engine, same basic radios, gps, etc. One has TKS and A/C. and the other does not. I would expect this one should then have approx 106 pounds less useful, but actually has 175-ish less I am wondering where to find that 75 pounds? (that's 12+ gallons of fuel!!
