AaronDC8402 Posted June 23, 2016 Report Posted June 23, 2016 I was surprised to see another 201 parked next to ours on the ramp today. Different paint scheme, but similar colors. I can't help but figure the line guys put them next to each other on purpose. It was fun to see a couple of them together. 3
carusoam Posted June 23, 2016 Report Posted June 23, 2016 Is that at your home drome? (KYTS) Best regards, -a-
AaronDC8402 Posted June 24, 2016 Author Report Posted June 24, 2016 It is. The other plane seems to be based at GVL. I didn't run across the pilot or ask the line guys about it. 1
rbridges Posted June 24, 2016 Report Posted June 24, 2016 The plane on the left looks nicer. Its paint job is closer to mine.

steingar Posted June 24, 2016 Report Posted June 24, 2016 Visited a pal with an RV12 last weekend, and his hangar neighbor pulled out a J that just put my aircraft to shame. Absolutely gorgeous. Young pilot too.

AaronDC8402 Posted June 24, 2016 Author Report Posted June 24, 2016 The PlaneCovers cover is really nice. Awesome fit, good materials. The near plane definitely has nicer paint finish.
Yetti Posted June 24, 2016 Report Posted June 24, 2016 So what's the backing on the what I would guess is Sunbrella outer fabric? The sewing machine is getting dusty...

The sewing machine is getting dusty... I'm pretty sure Jim Cancil uses Sunbrella. His website has some history of the evolution of his covers. Mine does not have a backing but he offers backing for the windshield area at a small premium. I'm not sure he recommends that. I make sure the plane and cover is free of sand when I put it on. I have new windows!
