I noticed in the maintance manual they list a carb temp sensor and guage.  My 62 c doesn't have either.  Does anyone else have factory carb temp.

I have one, lower left on the panel near the key. [Right where the Owner's Manual panel diagram shows it to be.] But it is noted as "Optional" when reading the POH.

I have one ... but it is not a Mooney device. Perhaps it was upgraded by a previous owner. I will have to check the equpment list when the plane comes out of annual ...

All the best ...

The expensive part of this modification is whether or not you have the sensor location on the carburetor.  I believe the threaded boss would need to be in the carburetor already.

I did not have one in my M20C.  Experienced carb ice once in moist weather, cleared out by using carb heat.  It would be nice to have positive confirmation of temperature indicator.  Spooky moment when HP decreases and goes even lower with carb heat and melting ice.

I think my poh is lacking.  It doesn't have any fuel burns, take off data, nor any pictures of  the panel.  Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get one.  I think they have to be approved for the airplane right?  The carb has been replaced, does anyone know how to tell if it has the probe provisions.

Our friends in the Vintage Mooney Group can help you find such items as POH, Parts Manual and Service Manual. They were a tremendous help to me!

And now, they aren't just on the West Coast but have chapters covering the whole country. Do a quick search and reach out to them. They're good people!

Yes  the vintage mooney group has a CD that I bought for $10.00 that has all the books for all of the mooney,s. and it

also has all of the shop repair and parts books, just print them out.

Ray,

Would you be willing to make me a copy.  I don't see one for sale on the website.  I will pay you for your trouble of course.

If you go to the vintage mooney group and go to the contact tab send them a e-mail and they will send you one. They might

ask you to join the group but it does not cost anything to join, just go to one of the flyin,s. Our next fly out is to

Furnace creek (death valley). Where are you located?

I highly recommend contacting someone in VMG directly. They can send you the CORRECT set of books for YOUR airplane, all on one CD. I'd send you mine, but your 62 model is considerably different than my 70 is. . . Trust me, it is both:  1) the cheapest airplane-anything you will ever buy; 2) the absolute best value for dollar you will spend on your plane.
