Pictreed Posted February 6, 2016 Report Posted February 6, 2016 This is not a Mooney (soon) but I recorded my first flight. Lots to learn about the software still. It's amazing how critical you are of your own flying when watching. Im using Final Cut Pro on a Mac. Tim 1 Quote
CaptainAB Posted February 6, 2016 Report Posted February 6, 2016 Which seat are you in? A 172RG is a classic. You should make the video black and white. 1 Quote
Pictreed Posted February 6, 2016 Author Report Posted February 6, 2016 Left seat. The registration number is N172RG which is kind of cool too. ATC always gets a laugh out it. 1 Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 Before I bought my first Mooney I put about 200 hours on a Cutless RG. I really liked that airplane. I had more then twice as much time in it as the owner. Quote
eman1200 Posted March 17, 2016 Report Posted March 17, 2016 how do you see anything with that big giant flat panel tv mounted right in front of you? Quote

I actually made that same comment but cut it out. It's going to get smaller and find a new location. Quote
Raptor05121 Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 A lot of people really bash it and call it the "Gutless". I would love to give one a try. Quote
Pictreed Posted April 14, 2016 Author Report Posted April 14, 2016 I've enjoyed the RG. I've had some butt pucker moments in it because of lack of a little love in the maintenance shop. One of them being a really long takeoff roll and climb out at 5000' density altitude but they've finally replaced the mags and it's much better. I am ready for a Mooney though which I'm working on now. Tim Quote
Pictreed Posted April 14, 2016 Author Report Posted April 14, 2016 Eman, I also just finished instrument training so most of the time I was under the hood anyway. Now that's done I've noticed how much it's in the way during VFR flight. Quote
