However, I would likely hold out until I could find one with a GTN 750 installed. Very nice upgrade to have over a GNS series. If you're sticking with a J, I'd certainly stick with a 2 blade prop and have it dynamically balanced if it seems rough during operation. Better efficiency with a 2 blade, especially on this platform. Happy hunting! With all of these I'm a bit more worried about the engine times. The '81 is especially concerning given its history of major changes and little time flown after major engine parts were replaced. Quote
dlthig Posted March 19, 2016 Report Posted March 19, 2016 What about this one with Don Maxwell? http://www.trade-a-plane.com/search?category_level1=Single+Engine+Piston&make=MOONEY&model=M20J+201&listing_id=2096183&s-type=aircraft 1 Quote
BigAirHarper Posted March 19, 2016 Author Report Posted March 19, 2016 I was hoping for at least a Garmin 430/530W. I know I could always upgrade the panel but from what I hear from all of you guys is that it's always cheaper to buy a plane with it already installed. 1 hour ago, dlthig said: What about this one with Don Maxwell? http://www.trade-a-plane.com/search?category_level1=Single+Engine+Piston&make=MOONEY&model=M20J+201&listing_id=2096183&s-type=aircraft 1 Quote
