Piloto Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 (edited) Notice that there is no lane markings. They are going to end up eating Soylent Green. José Edited October 10, 2015 by Piloto
Joe Zuffoletto Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 I am so thankful that I don't live over there.
Guest Posted October 11, 2015 Report Posted October 11, 2015 And they're just getting started. Clarence
Hank Posted October 11, 2015 Report Posted October 11, 2015 Hope you font have to go that way to the airport . . . . .
Ftlausa Posted October 11, 2015 Report Posted October 11, 2015 I have been to China twice. The traffic and pollution are insane. The major cities in India are the same way.
carusoam Posted October 11, 2015 Report Posted October 11, 2015 (edited) Suddenly seeing the reasons for regulatory agencies...EPA, FDA, FAA do have value. Keeping them up with the times is the added challenge. Guess they didn't get the EZ Pass RFID transponder system. Best regards, -a- Edited October 11, 2015 by carusoam
flyboy0681 Posted October 11, 2015 Report Posted October 11, 2015 Looks to me like a certain George Washington Bridge delay in September, 2013.
MyNameIsNobody Posted October 13, 2015 Report Posted October 13, 2015 What are the populations of China & India compared to US? Keep breeding humans. What could happen? No worries, just come to the U.S of A...
flyboy0681 Posted October 13, 2015 Report Posted October 13, 2015 The US is the .3 of the 1.3 billion.
Hank Posted October 13, 2015 Report Posted October 13, 2015 The US is the .3 of the 1.3 billion. you didnt include India's Billion people!
MyNameIsNobody Posted October 14, 2015 Report Posted October 14, 2015 you didnt include India's Billion people! Exactly. They have 1.3 Billion with a B to our .3 Just NOT an equal comparison US to India and China.
Hank Posted October 14, 2015 Report Posted October 14, 2015 India and China have more than a Billion people EACH! Combined, that's seven to eight times the US population . . . On the other hand, we don't build our roads with picks, shovels and wheelbarrows, to provide jobs and food to the laborers who would riot if you showed up with a dozer and finished the road in a week . . . But by the time you acquire property, survey it, do the environmental impact studies, plan for remediation and reroutes, acquire more land, set aside "wetlands," go to court several times, apply for zonign and permits, THEN get to start construction, the handbuilt road will already be finished and in use. First World Problems, but as seen above, they are beginning to bleed into other areas along with their own Third World problems [too many people, inefficient farming, poor water distribution, poverty, lack of jobs, etc.]. 1
Mark89114 Posted October 14, 2015 Report Posted October 14, 2015 I am not sure that our methodology of using bulldozers and mechanized equipment is any faster. They took 6 years and $60 million + to build 6.2 miles on a bypass near where I live. And they wonder why the roads in this country are falling apart. I think the only people who support the current model of road and bridge building are the civil engineers and construction companies who fleece the taxpayers. I will ignore any quality differences as I have seen the work in China and it doesn't impress me and I am wondering about the work done here as well.
