PTK Posted October 4, 2015 Report Posted October 4, 2015 (edited) In view of latest current events in Syria, if an accident were to happen and we got into a conflict with Russia how does our hardware stack up? They're utilizing the SU 30 fighter jets, SU 25 and SU 24 bombers. Edited October 4, 2015 by PTK Quote

Piloto Posted October 5, 2015 Report Posted October 5, 2015 Why the US needs to get involved in Syria? Just the support logistics for the US 6,000nm away vs 200nm for Russia puts the US in great disadvantage and vulnerability. If you want to see how the US hardware stack up let the Jews try it. After all they border Syria. ISIS is more of a threat to Russia and Israel than to the US. Putin is just protecting his country against the ISIS threat. And since Russia is not in the NATO club Putin does not need approval from the west for any actions he decides to take. Unlike Obama long speeches and little action Putin is a decisive leader of few words. José 3 Quote
PTK Posted October 5, 2015 Author Report Posted October 5, 2015 (edited) Putin bitch slapped Obama in front of the whole world at the UN last week. Why did we do in Iraq? Made a huge mess and cost us American lives. In Libya? Same thing and it cost us the Ambassador's life among others. In Afghanistan? We just took out a hospital! Why are we in Syria? Do we even know?! What vital interests do we have to be there? Edited October 5, 2015 by PTK Quote

Piloto Posted October 5, 2015 Report Posted October 5, 2015 Wonder why the Syrians do not emigrate to Russia which is much closer than Europe. Russia is 20 times bigger than Europe so there is more space to spread out. The Syrians wouldn't have to go through the borders hassles of Europe. These Syrians are pretty selective on where they want to settle. No to mention that some Africans emigrants dream for an Oxford degree in the UK paid by the UK VAT. Nothing wrong with dreams. I dream one day I will win the Lotto Jackpot. José 2 Quote

Marauder Posted October 5, 2015 Report Posted October 5, 2015 My altimeter has a sliding ring with a green, yellow, and orange pointers, I assume it's suppose to be used for something like call outs but I can't figure out how it's supposed to used? Not sure either considering you posted this on the "Syria Conflict" thread. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote

ryoder Posted October 7, 2015 Report Posted October 7, 2015 People call them refugees but they are choosing where they get the largest meal ticket. A real refugee would just stay in the first country close to home and be glad to not have to worry about being beheaded by Islamists. 1 Quote
DaV8or Posted October 8, 2015 Report Posted October 8, 2015 I have said this a lot on other forums, but not here. Russia's entry into this idiot sandbox is yet one more reason we need to get the hell out!! Not because we should be afraid of the Russians, but because no good can come of this. ISIS is an Arab/Muslim problem. It needs to be solved by Arab/muslims, not us. The Russians are foolishly rushing in with big iron balls, but they will quickly find out their balls can crack. I say let them try to play world cop and see how it feels. They will suffer just as we did. Back off and let the Russians "lead", this should be great. Warm up the popcorn machine. 3 Quote
Piloto Posted October 8, 2015 Report Posted October 8, 2015 Not even Mother Teresa was as generous as Angela Merkel (German Chancellor). Inviting over a million immigrants to live in Germany with free housing, health care and education no wonder everyone is leaving Syria and Africa heading for Germany. And the Africans were complaining about 4 beds in a tent was too crowded in Italy. They should try the US Army allocations during Vietnam. In the old days when you had less than a 1 million men crossing your country borders illegally it was considered an invasion!! José 2 Quote
