ryoder Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 The annual is over. $700 with my help. Next up, leather seat cover install. I got them from airtex and am probably going to have them professionally installed on the frames by a local auto upholsterer. Quote
Raptor05121 Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 Thats a really nice bill. I assume nothing was replaced? Quote
ryoder Posted August 1, 2015 Author Report Posted August 1, 2015 Just consumables like vacuum pump filter etc. Cash deal with my local IA. He changed my failed vacuum pump for one hour labor at 55. Quote
RobertGary1 Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 I can beat that. It depends on how much work you do. If you can set it up that you do all of the repairs and everything is open and ready for inspection it's pretty straight forward for him. I'll usually finish the repairs before the IA comes over so he only needs to inspect the work. 1 Quote
HRM Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 The annual is over. $700 with my help.   I just mailed a check for about $2K. I am hoping to get a deal like you have after I retire...I am going to need it 1 Quote
ryoder Posted August 1, 2015 Author Report Posted August 1, 2015 My IA is moving to Plant City, not far. He will be in ZPH on the weekends since he has a hangar and can do some work then. I'll probably still use him for annuals but the days of him coming over and taking care of my issues with a simple phone call or text are sadly over. I really like him and he will be missed at ZPH. Next year I'll do some of the annual work before he even shows up like lubrication and oil change. He also prepared a detailed AD list and that will save time next year. Quote
