TFR for State of Union Address - Washington DC Area

AA has issued TFRs for the Baltimore metro area for Jan 15 and Jan 20

Except it will change as we get closer to next week. Just be careful flying from now until the end of the 21st around here. Make sure you understand the notams.

Very little VFR flight. You can arrive IFR through IAD, BWI, HEF.

How's it any different than the permanent TFR SFRA? Squawk and talk, right?

A little different - even more restrictive - No SFRA VFR flight at all inside the SFRA.  Pretty much only flights during the heightened security hours are to BWI, IAD, and HEF.  All other airports should have no operation, not even IFR.

 

So - no flying around the state of the union speech unless you are on an IFR flight from somewhere to one of those three airports.  Law enforcement, medical, and other approved flights can occur.
