  1. Have about 100 hours on the system and only thing I had to address is pitch trim servo tention due to purposing when it got warm. Have been enjoying it very much.
  2. Hello, I have a 2000 Bravo with TKS/FIKI and have been having issues with my gauge reading lower than actual. I had filled it up and it was only showing 1.5 gallons and next day it only shows .5 without any usage. Bad sensor? Not very comforting not knowing exactly how much you have if you have to fly through icing conditions.
  3. After a five months in the shop my plane is ready from avionics shop. Picking up on Friday morning.
  4. Thanks. Every time I fly it like it more and more. I was surprised how heavy it is when moving it on the ground compared to G model though. Maybe time to shop for a new power tug as one I have struggles to get it moving especially when I have chains on.
  5. Great to see similar project how long were you quoted to be in the shop? My installer stated 6 weeks for G3x, G5, GFC500 and GTX345 transponder. Plane will not go in to shop unless everything is on hand. Hopefully that will minimize my down time.
  6. Prior owner wanted to fly this plane to Europe that is why all the stuff went in. He even put a Garmin GSR56 to be able to communicate and receive weather since ADSB is/was not available in Europe at that time. To us here in US it’s just a 10amu paperweight. He did run it quite hot as I see cylinders replaced in the logs. I have only started flying this plane in January and have not had any issues keeping the cylinders in low 300’s. Pics are from prior the sales add. Thanks for all the advice. I have yet to use TKS but hear it is good to cycle it at least once a month to keep fluid primed. Any comments on that?
  7. Attached are pics in a different format. Everything works as it should. I found old pics of this panel and they had dual 430's and auto pilot in the center stack but it was moved when 750/650 was added. Auto pilot control panel will go on the left side under G3x where current TKS annunciator is as I did notice it is a little out of the way when things get busy in the air. I do like my audio panel in its spot I feel that it makes a clean look in the center stack. What do you find your oil level the be at before it gets blown out the bottom? My mechanic stated keep at least 8qt at all times.
  8. Hello, New to me 2000 Bravo. What a fun airplane. Lots of new features to learn compared to my 1968 G Model. I had put a deposit on a g3x system and g500 autopilot that would be going in first week of April. I would be looking to sell king KFC225 Auto pilot with servos, Garmin 330ES transponder, JPI700, HSI, all steam gauges and original engine instruments. Everything is in good working order. Please DM if interested parts should be available early to mid-May. I will be posting an ad in classifieds once everything is out of the plane. Thank you. img (3).jfif img (4).jfif
  9. Oil cooler is in the regular spot. I will mention that to my mechanic.
  10. My factory gauge stays in the green but my JPI shows high temps. I tend to trust JPI more then factory gauge from 1968. Had I not had a engine monitor I probably would not have noticed any abnormalities.
  11. Hi Hank, I did try that and my temps quickly jump up to 450 so I reduce power settings and climb rate to whatever I can get at 120 MPH. That seems to keep them at 430 or so. My main concern is cruise CHT's back two cylinders are running very hot. I have searched this forum and seems like everyone is running them at 360-380.
  12. My JPI shows 14 to 15 GPH on the climb out 25/25. EGT's are in the 1250's. One odd thing that occurred coldest cylinder peaks first when I use lean assist feature on EDM700. Has anyone re-directed airflow somehow from cylinder number one?
  13. Hello, Looking for some help as I am having issues with hot temps in level flight. My back two cylinders are hovering north of 400 in level flight. Doghouse baffling is sealed tight, timing is set as I got two new mags installed, cowl flaps are fixed and are open as much as they can be, spark plugs are new champion urem38. My mechanic said just run it and watch for temps on the climb out. Weird thing about my number one cylinder is running bellow 300 and my number four is at 405 in level flight. Oil temp is at 205-210 as well. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
