Hey guys,

I got to meet Alan Fox today and bought a bunch of stuff from him. I can't say enough about him! He is super knowledgeable about all things mooney and gave me some great deals on some parts I needed. I will be buying stuff from him again in the future for sure!

Too bad Alan went to the dark side... :) Alan - you get the Bo back from the paint shop?

I love Bonanzas but man, do they like gas. Check this. 1982 A36, IO-520BB, 6500', 75% power (50 ROP it wouldn't run LOP). 16 GPH and 170-175 KTAS. 11NMPG. The J is ~17. But they sure make a 201 seem to fly like a dump truck. The control harmony is legendary but it comes at a cost.

I fly it 2300 22 inches 60 rich and get about 160 KTAS at 14. gph ....The extra 5 to 10 knots aren't worth the extra 2 gph ,  if I pull it back to about 20 inches I can get it down to about 13. and about 150 KTAS .... Not as economical as the Mooney was , BUT if you have never flown a BO , I highly recommend you DONT , you will want one ,  It is the easiest plane to fly and carries a lot.......as far as my parts business its disappointing that it is a lot more profitable to take em down , than to fix em up.... Its always sad to kill em.....
