CHT gage green arc

anyone has any idea to what temperature the low end of the green arc of the CHT gage corresponds

thanks. i need to open that POH more often.

the stock gage needle rarely barely makes it to the low end of the green arc and rarely reaches the "F"

the engine monitor probes I have indicate in the 350 to 370F which is more like it.

Will a new probe help close the gap ?

I have found the middle of the scale is around 340F and when it uncovers the "F" it's more like 380.

makes sense but does the needle on your indeed goes over the"F" ?

i am wondering if my sensor is tired or if mt cluster gage needs to be calibrated

I have seen it two needle widths past the F but usually it covers it or is slightly left of it.

are you implying that the stock factory gauges are possibly inaccurate?  no way.

Mine does the same thing. The last time up it the needle was just past the 250 mark - right between the 250 and the beginning of the green arc and never got hotter. JPI showed 350. It's in the shop right now for the annual so I'm going to have it looked at.
