Steve65E-NC Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 I like the clear plastic, split tube, deviation window molding for the mag compass. It snaps on windshield brace tube. My current one is pretty old and getting a little cracked/scratched. I have checked all the common sources and googled but found no place to purchace a replacement. I have made up a little excel document that allows me to print out a good looking, and easy to read, card for this type window. Quote
Hank Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 Sounds interesting. Got a picture? I can't quite figure this out. Quote

Right up there with the DoDo bird in terms of difficulty to find. Have you considered a pTouch label? Quote
Bob - S50 Posted December 21, 2013 Report Posted December 21, 2013 Maybe you can find a clear plastic fuel line at an auto parts store that has an inside diameter just a little smaller than the frame member. Or maybe your local hardware (Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, etc) will have some clear plastic tubing. Cut the plastic fuel line to length, split it nicely with and exact-o knife and slip it around the frame member. Just an idea. Bob Quote
Hank Posted December 21, 2013 Report Posted December 21, 2013 Silicone tubing is available in many sizes. I use some from the hardware store to drain my Mooney's oil. Cut it to length and split it down the middle to get it around the post. Quote
laytonl Posted December 21, 2013 Report Posted December 21, 2013 I did the same thing, clear plastic tubing from Lowes works great. Can't remember the size I used though. Lee Quote
