While checking for some damage, in the rh flap hinges , , we found some corrocion in part of the stub spar, at the attachement of the 3rd inner hinge. My question is , what are the repair options, aside from replacing the hole inner stub spar from the center rear spar up to the spliced section,(thats a 6 to 8 foot long piece), Any Ideas? and how do you gain acces to the area of attachement of the stub spar and the center spar splice?.

What kind of corrosion, and to what extent? AC43.13-1B chapter 6 covers corrosion, inspection and protection. You can also find acceptable repairs within its chapters. I would contact MAC before proceeding with any kind of work. They have the final word on what can be done or not done.
