I just posted this on the Modern Mooney plug discussion.  For what its worth, my friend with a Columbia 400 just replaced his plugs and found 4 of the 12 fine wire plugs with cracked ceramic.  He replaced with the massive type.  See attached photo of the worst one.  Strange, the engine was running fine.
