I just joined Mooneyspace and thought I would just say hello.  I am a Multi-engine/Instrument Commercial pilot with around 1300hrs total time with about 320 in Mooneys.  I was the owner of a Mooney M20F Executive back in the 90s and currently own a Piper Warrior.  My father and I flew a Cessna 340A for years but he now owns a SaratogaII TC.  I am currently trying to buy a 1981 Mooney 231 so I decided to go ahead and join the club even though I have not officially taken possession of the aircraft.  I hope to be able to come here and help as much as possible.  These types of forums are the best thing going on the internet.

Again, hello to you all

Welcome to the forums! Happy hunting on the 231. Check here often, people many times will list their Mooneys here before anywhere else.

I hope I have the airplane found. It's a local plane that's been sitting in a hanger since 2008. A friend of mine is an I/A and once we agree on my offer we will give it a thorough once over to make sure there are no surprises. Hopefully this all will be successful but we have several hurdles still to jump.

Mike, I am in Memphis about every other week so maybe we can get together sometime.

TWinter, my wife has a first cousin in Dyersburg. Been there many times. Is the avionics shop still in Dyersburg? I bet I have transported 50 airplanes to that shop over the years.
