    It's not all that uncommon for airplanes to end up weighing more than the weight and balance documents show. That may explain why many airplanes don't match book speeds or climb performance.

    I have taken off at gross weight in my B model from Flagstaff AZ in the summer with no problems. Flagstaff is 7,000ft. I also fly out of Big Bear (6,750) in the summer all the time. I think the 3 blade prop helps.

    I fit 4 average size adults (5'10" and 175lbs) in my B model all the time. Its a tight fit when trying to fit people that are more than 250lbs but have fit one 250lb person with me in the front and one in the back a number of times. Its really not to bad with the front seats moved up. Getting in and out sometimes is the hardest part.

    A lot will fit in a Mooney if you take the front passenger seat out. Just makes getting in and out more of a challenge.

    I would like to find out where you can get an S-tec 30 with GPSS installed in a Mooney for 15,000. Most of quotes I got were closer to 18,000 without GPSS.

    If it were me I would go with a GTN 650 over a 530.

    This kind of thing makes me sick. This is the way people were treated in Nazi Germany. This sort of thing should never happen in the United States. The worst part is there is nothing a person can do about it when they find themselves in this kind of situation.

    When you bank the wings in and airplane with swept back wings and you flair for landing the wing tips are closer to the ground than airplanes with strait wings.

    Cylinder compression by itself is not a very good indication of engine condition. I had cylinder readings all above 75. But had high oil consumption. Removed number 3 cylinder and found broken oil ring.

    Yes, you would need a multi rating to fly it.

    I think this whole BMI thing is wrong. Seems like the FAA is just making up more rules an regulations just to have more rules and regulations. FAA- "Were not happy unless your not happy" is so true!

    Sounds like the fuel flow is to lean. Did you notice what the fuel flow was before the engine overhaul?
