    Welcome to the forum. Good luck on the purchase. Remember the G has the 180hp motor, not the 200. Understand you want to use it just to build hours which is great, just the utility of a G is less than a C or E. Unless the owner is willing to do a lot for you, you may be hard pressed to get all the information you need in order to make an informed decision. Again, welcome to the forum.

    Mooney had a patent on this door believe it or not. Something to do with the way the mechanism worked and allowed it to remain pressurized?? Does anyone remember exactly? this probably the best example of the Mustang flying today. I hope a new owner takes her to the next level when it comes to panel, etc, etc. if I win the lotto tonight, that may be me!

    And I will be on the "different" side of that coin and say between 300-400 Cirrus 22's sell each year. That proves that there is a market no matter what we "think". Mooney must take some of that market share, IF, that is the market it wants to pursue.
