  1. That reminds me. Where can i get my original clock fixed. The wind up clock in the yoke
  2. Hmm, i was under the impression that most new Ahrs systems where rate based MEMS sensors
  3. omg that's total BS, hope they get a new bff in prison
  4. How much speed did you get from removing the step? My hangar fairy has been lazy about removing mine
  5. So maybe i wasn't clear. I will let the buyers mechanic inspect the plane as they see fit, as long as the BUYER pays for it. This is what i did and what i would expect of a new buyer. any squawks we can deal around. We come to an agreement or we don't. Not seeing how this is difficult
  6. So the first word in your paragraph, NO. I as a seller can always say NO! no deal, go away, naw, not happening buddy, we're done, that's called dealing. I want you to be as informed as possible, if you come with the bs well, next man up.
  7. Yes, isn't that airplane buying rule #1? you have the plane inspected by someone you trust or at the very least someone your are paying. That being said, i was floored when my ppi/annual came back EXACTLY as the seller represented it. No squawks. I had my mechanic change the sparkplugs just to be doing something.
  8. We negotiate, we come to a deal or we don't. As an owner, you should know the state of your bird, Ok, maybe not EVERYThing but the discrepancy list shouldn't be long. If the list is longer than expected, maybe we shouldn't be talking.
  9. It's my expectation an item will be as stated, otherwise we renegotiate or i walk WITH my money. Same conditions i would give someone buying my plane, you will get exactly what's stated no less.
  10. Exactly what I did.
  11. I was prepared to be out the 2000$ or so but it would've been better than being out the purchase price. Also having a fresh annual was nice
  12. I had an Annual done instead of a prebuy, figured a shop signing their name was worth the extra cost.
  13. YAY..... there was a report that said there is little difference in aviation oils, Might as well save money.
  14. have you checked the antennae? Mine acts similar when the antenna comes a bit loose.
  15. sounds like a good reason to install : https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/elpages/ea_08-17141.php
  16. last 3 years i've only replaced a servo boot, otherwise works great. Not sure i'd put the sys in a new plane. honestly, who knows when these new autopilots will even become avail, might be worth it. Thinking how the system works, except for a vacuum pump, seems pretty bullet proof. I wonder how difficult it would be to create a new controller for the existing system.
  17. I'm able to reproduce the issue but took switching back and forth between your examples. Unfortunately it now seems to happen for most of my airports. from the behavior, i'd guess something isn't triggering a refresh of the view/model. good thing you can just zoom in on the map and get almost the same view
  18. Working fine for me, kinda digging the new Satellite view
  19. It's an RV, can't he find the part and change it?
  20. think my annunciator may be green, can't read the letters on it anymore 8). the floor indicator is def green.
  21. Unless I'm getting a new big screen panel, can't see why i'd ever get rid of the asi, vsi and altimeter. Those are like the most reliable instruments in the panel.
  22. I'm sure they are, talked to them yesterday regarding an avionics installation
  23. I wanted this, just wouldn't fit in my panel 8(.
  24. Hard seeing how this isn't some of the worst news ever. Kinda hard to complain about a 182 though 8). how bout a cessna 400, it's mooney-ish.
  25. looking at lycomings docs, you can run 2 of these, 1 just has to have a backup battery. hmm, wonder if i can run one surefly and one of these?
