Avblend is mineral oil AKA snake oil mixed with a healthy dose of  folklore, legend, old wives tales, and bullshit. Camguard is a package of corrosion additives which has demonstrable benefits in engines flown less often than 10-14 days.

my next oil change is due in a few weeks.  My engine is 850ish SMOH.  Do you think it would make any difference at this point to start adding camguard?

Yes, if you are operating your engine properly, you will replace your engine due to rust, not engine wear. Most pilots rust their engines out, not wear them out.
