Here is the list of Mooney Service Centers from Mooney's website.  If you note where in Iowa the aircraft is located, you see which MSC is closest.  As a warning, not all MSCs are created equal.  There are many non MSCs that give better care than certain MSCs.  However, many MSCs know the Mooney's well, and some are really top shops all around.  It's a holiday weekend - it may take a while to get the response you want.

my mechnic at MXO-Monticello, IA has maintained my M20E for the ten+ years I have owned it. He just installed an Accu-Flite. Has installed one piece belly and nose gear truss. I have total confidence in his work. He services other Mooney's in addition to mine. All vintage Mooney's...(Including 201's). Good luck on finding your service center. Scott

I know that MN is not IA but of course is right next door.

Try Jason Doscher at Jed Aire Aviation (320-843-4461) in Benson, MN, KBBB. He will not disappoint. He was the service manager at Wilmar before he wanted his own shop. He has many years of Mooney experience.

There is also the afore mentioned Wilmar Air Service in Wilmar, MN. They are an MSC, but I have direct knowledge of, and would first recommend, Jason.
