Mooney Step Installation

Does anyone on here have any experience installing a fixed step on their 201's or other models, I have a 77 J and don't know if all the inside brackets etc are there from the factory as this was a factory option on the 201, any comments or info would be great.  Thanks!

Perhaps I should add that factory Mooney parts are purchased through your favorite MSC; not directly.

I have an extra retractable from an E model but you would not want to go through the trouble of putting that in a J.
