There have been a few sold here on this forum in the past so just checking to see if there are any out there with low time that could be bought.

To get permission from S-Tec to use the STC for your aircraft, you must send back all the components back to them to be re-certified. Of course the cost comes in about the same as a new unit.

exactly.  the STC lists the specific serial # of your aircraft.  It's fine to shove in an experimental but you need to recertify for our planes.

Yes.  I had an extra one that I sold to another member a couple of weeks ago.  It was the accutrack and accuflite.

 

I have both of these on my plane as well as their altitude hold.  Their stuff works very well and is a easy upgrade (low install cost) for planes that already have the wing leveler.

When I ordered a step retract servo from Brittain a couple of months ago I asked about their autopilot business. They maintain about a 1 year backlog! Good folks.

Actually, recent anecdotal evidence indicates that they've softened this stance somewhat... in that the cost isn't nearly as bad as it was just a year or two ago.
