carusoam Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 Gents, We have a long thread about intros, you may want to add to it as well... I think it is called introduce yourself. I bumped it to the top of the list. The list itself has covered a few years, many people, and machines. Best regards, -a- Quote
DrBill Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 I am based at Wilgrove, just East of Charlotte, NC. There are 3 flying Mooneys based here and one not flying (what a shame). My 65E, a 76 F and a 66 C. The non-flying one is an older C model. I tried buying it 10 years ago but the owner wanted a TON of money for it.  He still pays the tie down fee though !! I learned to fly at Kobelt Airport in NY (just NW of Newburgh- Stewart Field) in 1970.  BILL Quote
Wildhorsesracing Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 I am based at Stanly County, (KVUJ) Albemarle, NC - just east of Charlotte, NC. There are a few Mooneys there - I have met some of the owners.  We should plan a "Mooneyiacs" meeting somewhere at the Carolina beaches every few months for lunch. I fly down to Southport NC, Ocean Isle NC and Grand Strand, SC regularly for the fun of it. ChristianGodin Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 I am from Montréal flying a 201, mostly flying south of the border with the Mooney. Quote
PTK Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 My Mooney and I call VAY home. Remarkably my Mooney's fraternal twin is also based here! Our sn is 1406 and theirs is1405! One digit off! What are the chances of that! They were separated at birth but, as fate would have it they're reunited after all! There are also a few other Mooneys here. Quote
