Picked up this battery operated gadget at Oshkosh from Plane Plastics ($41, saved $9 shipping Smile).  I had it in my previous airplane and found it to be very useful, besides it gets rid of that ugly ashtray.

I believe they are standard for most airplanes, previously I had it in a Cessna.  As for Mooneys I would not think that there was a difference between years or models.

As far as I know, ashtrays were standard in Mooneys for a long, long time.

This product is an ashlight, and I've had once since I was taking IFR training; I'm still on the original batteries and going on three years.

Get yours now! My Mooney takes the "small" ashlight, not the bigger one. Plane Plastics has them for $41; Spruce has them for $29.95. Search for "ashlight" all crammed together into one word. Nice, bright red light. The question now is, what do I do with the ashtray sitting on a shelf in the hangar???
