N201MKTurbo Posted May 29 Report Posted May 29 I would think it is a leaking fuel sender gasket. 2 Quote
mike_elliott Posted May 29 Report Posted May 29 The 99-2002’s were some of the worse for tank sealant leaks per Paul Beck. I hear the factory didn’t apply between rib and skin then. In any event, get it checked out and if it’s the sealant, patching will be a temporary fix as it will fail in other areas in short order 1 Quote
IvanP Posted May 29 Report Posted May 29 (edited) Are you asking about the discoloration or the nub sticking out from the wing surface? Edited May 29 by IvanP Quote

But they tried to set the rivets with the sealant wet and that did not work well. It just squeezed out. Quote
billy hellcat Posted May 29 Author Report Posted May 29 Is this sealant then? No fuel is leaking. Quote

flyboy0681 Posted May 29 Report Posted May 29 Yup. Same shade of brown that my leak showed. Time to call Edison at Wetwingologists. Quote
billy hellcat Posted May 29 Author Report Posted May 29 Thanks guys! Appreciate the quick response. I was thinking of buying but not now. Went to deploy speed brakes and they were inop. Ughhh. Lots of inop things that weren’t talked about. Quote

N201MKTurbo Posted May 29 Report Posted May 29 13 minutes ago, Geoff said: Nope, fuel tank vent line. Not even close. Doesn’t even look like the fuel vent. The fuel vent line usually has a small tube welded into a larger tube. And it’s in the wrong place. 1 Quote
