NewMoon Posted March 6 Report Posted March 6 Flying from SWFL to my daughters at KGMU. looking to take her two boys for a breakfast flight. Looking for recommendations of good food on the field somewhere within an hour of Greenville. Quote
midlifeflyer Posted March 6 Report Posted March 6 From GMU, I’d do a pretty mountain tour and have breakfast at the GMU Runway Cafe before or after. Or, still using the hills for scenery, head up toward the Crosswind Cafe at HKY. Quote
GeeBee Posted March 6 Report Posted March 6 Runway Cafe does not serve breakfast. Lunch and dinner only https://runwaycafegmu.com At KGMU my wife and I take a short Uber or crew car to Kitchen Synch for lunch. Really good food. https://kitchensyncgreenville.com If it is breakfast you need. Try KFFC, take the crew car over to Mimi's, The Flying Biscuit or J. Christophers A little further north KGVL and take Uber over to First Watch Quote

dlthig Posted Saturday at 01:51 PM Report Posted Saturday at 01:51 PM Check out the South Carolina Breakfast Club Facebook page. Every other week they meet somewhere for breakfast. They either have it catered or the locals cook. Generally around $10-15. It may not work out this time, but perhaps next time. I can't think of a breakfast place off the top of my head. Quote

I can't think of a breakfast place off the top of my head. The problem there can be the time. I've been to several (my goal is a different airplane each time) and, about this time of year I put the ones I'd be interest in flying to in my calendar. But my experience is, most arrive around 8 am and a lot of food is gone by 9 or so. That means a very early wakeup time, which I usually reserve for American Airlines to the Caribbean Quote
laytonl Posted 23 hours ago Report Posted 23 hours ago Hickory NC (khky) has an on site restaurant and an aviation museum. Lee Quote
