Aerospace Posted October 24, 2023 Report Posted October 24, 2023 Boost pump is said to be behind the left cove cover near the left nose gear door. Can someone look at the attached picture and confirm the cover to remove? Quote
PT20J Posted October 24, 2023 Report Posted October 24, 2023 That’s the one. I can’t quite make it out in the picture, but you should see the pump drain protruding through the cover which Mooney refers to as an exhaust cavity. There are screws in the firewall and you have to remove the gear door screws to get it off. Aeromotors currently has my pump for overhaul. Skip 1 Quote
EricJ Posted October 24, 2023 Report Posted October 24, 2023 That one or the one in front of it. On mine it's all one piece, i.e., the cove cover runs from the firewall to nearly the end of the nose gear door. Here's my airplane with that panel removed (and the belly). The boost pump is the red thing with the silver label on it. 2 1 Quote
PT20J Posted October 24, 2023 Report Posted October 24, 2023 The pump is actually under the exhaust cavity which is in front of the the panel marked, but as @EricJ pointed out, the two panels are riveted together on later model Js and come off as one piece. 1 Quote
