Oscar Avalle Posted August 7, 2023 Report Posted August 7, 2023 The other day I had landed and Tower told me: you are transmitting on 118.30 (tower) but also on 121.90 (ground). 118.30 was dialed into COM1 (GTN 750) and 121.90 into COM 2 (GTN 650). On COM 1 the "tx" sign came up when I was transmiting, while on COM2 the "Rx" sign appeared at the same time... I reversed both COMs (COM1: 121.90 and COM2:118.30) and transmitted on COM 2, same problem. And then I transmitted on COM 2 on 121.90 and COM 1: 118.30 received the transmission... I changed frequencies and the same thing happened. Any idea what may be going on? Oscar Quote
hubcap Posted August 8, 2023 Report Posted August 8, 2023 Sounds like it could be something in your audio panel…. Quote
M20F Posted August 8, 2023 Report Posted August 8, 2023 I have on occasion had weirdness in my 650, I just recycle the power and it has always fixed it. Quote
PeteMc Posted August 8, 2023 Report Posted August 8, 2023 My GMA345 has a Split-Com Mode where the Pilot and Co-Pilot can transmit on different radios. If you have this, then maybe there's something in how your headsets are wired or your PTT switch is wired and that's causing you to transmit on both while in this mode. 1 Quote
