You also get to have exactly the layout and stuff you want, how you want it. The only downside on upgrading is the time that it will be grounded. This upgrade time can be quite significant. What is it worth to you to not be without your aircraft for 4 to 6 months? Quote

I don't know, maybe it's just bad luck, but my experience is that buying an aircraft is not without problems usually. If I'm decided to do an avionics upgrade, I rather have my aircraft down for 3 months, knowing exactly what aircraft I'm going to have when the upgrade finishes, rather than going through the hurdle of selling mine, buying a new one, and hoping for the best. Will.iam Posted February 15, 2023 Report Posted February 15, 2023 And that is if you can find a plane! Took me searching 5 months before i found mine and it was dumb luck that it happened to be a 252 as 2 had been sold before they had taken their ads down and i had been looking at 231’s before that. To find the model you want AND have the modern avionics you want already installed?!? Good luck. Quote
