Got the engine back from overhaul, received it without alternator bracket… can anyone share a picture of how the alternator fan clears the front engine baffles? I have an old ford alternator.
Thank you.

I can tell you that there are three different alternator brackets.   Mine needs "shims" to make it line up.   It is possible to install the bracket backwards.    The Lycoming engine manual has all the information.   If it went to the rebuilder with a bracket.   I would expect the bracket back.

Typically there is no cooling fan on Mooney alternators.
