  1. I assume the last inspection was about 10 years ago. Now will get a new inspection and refurbishment. I only hope will look like yours.
  2. I don’t know what caused the bent. However, it’s in the shop now. I didn’t felt comfortable with it. Thank you for all the good advice!
  3. Don’t know what caused the bend. Back in 1970, the airplane was stopped in a chicken wire fence, and the book says it was properly repaired. No other damages listed in the logbooks. All AD’s complied with. I see both AD’s on the engine mount are complied with. It is obvious it is an old issue. The airplane is new to me, and I just saw it after I mounted the newly OH engine…
  4. Any advice with a bent (slightly arched) lower left member of the engine mount of a 67F? The arch is approximately 1/8” toward the firewall, and the resulting tilting of the engine is negligible (1/64”). My concern is the downward effort not being translated along the length of the member, and instead creating a bowing momentum of the member. Any thoughts? p.s. wrote to Mooney, no answer…
  5. Got the engine back from overhaul, received it without alternator bracket… can anyone share a picture of how the alternator fan clears the front engine baffles? I have an old ford alternator. Thank you.
  6. What should be the distance between plumb line and axle center? I can’t finding it anywhere…
  7. Would this panel be acceptable in the 67F?
  8. Regarding the keyless push to start switch, can you point me toward one it can be installed in my F, please? Thank you for the kind advice. I’m still waiting on the Canadian Aircraft Registry to de register the aircraft, so I’m trying to get it ready f
  9. Thank you all for good advice. I’ll see how it goes.
  10. Manual gear. When I crank the engine (it’s a twist and push to start switch), if I push all the way it stops from cranking, so I have to release de pressure a bit. (I think I need a new switch; took it out, re-tension the springs, cleans the triangular contacts, and still not working to my liking). And once the master switch is on, gear horn starts screaming. Wouldn’t shut up even at engine runup.
  11. Purchased a “new to me” 67 F, looking for help with starter switch issues in Sacramento area. Also gear horn wouldn’t shut up!
