Truss repair

Can anyone recommend where to get my nose truss repaired? It was damaged by a local shop but they said that Lasar is saying it will be 4 months and I'm hoping to get back into the air sooner than that. Thanks for any suggestions.

Lasar has been the go to place for that…

For a temporary replacement… we have Sanford aka Alan…

For a welding solution…. Our favorite exhaust welders may be helpful…(?)

I had specialized aero repair my truss but it’s expensive.  Around 1200$. But F 4 months.

LASAR is moving to OR and that might be impacting their ability to do this work.

Thanks everyone, I’m following up on these leads. I’d prefer to go with LASAR but being down for four months or more is too long!

It might be worth calling Paul at Acorn Welding in Edmonton.  I don’t see a truss in their catalog, but you never know.

Kosola and associates based in Albany GA has previously repaired Mooneys They were acquired by Aerospace welding Inc. https://awi-ami.com/awi-acquires-kosola-and-associates they may have capability

I spoke to the “COO” of Lasar at their new Prineville location today and he said they definitely still do this.  Might try calling there to see if the 4 months was real?

I called back in January and they were like send it in and we will redo it and send it back but it’s going to be a few months, there were no cores and no stock to build up to exchange with.
