Thats really funny. Ron Fisher also installed a new fuel pump in our M20J as part of the annual with sale, a year ago.  2 flight hours later it failed, it perhaps ran 5 minutes.   Perhaps the fuel pumps do not like him? 


Ron is an excellent mechanic, BTW.

The switch had been in the on position and the pump continued to run until the resistor burned out.  The breaker in the switch did not function.  The pump was replaced. The resistor was removed and an alternator was placed. That is the recommended upgrade according to Mooney.  Ron did a great job and I'm comfortable flying the plane again. Ray
